John Malgioglio (born August 20, 1991), known under his stage name as Who's John, is an American producer, DJ, creator & songwriter from Long Island, New York.
He is commonly known for his contributions to the Moombahton genre[1] but also produces House, Progressive House, Techno, Lofi Hip-hop, Trap & Rap. Who's John is signed to multiple record labels such as Dave Nada's Hermanito[2], Tommie Sunshine's Brooklyn Fire[3], La Clinica's Terapia, JSTJR's Group Chat and his own label Who's Who.
On March 12, 2020, a single entitled Siente El Golpe featuring Latin vocalist Jefferson Di Lion hit number 1 on the Reggae / Dancehall Beatport chart.[4] In 2017 John released a remix of Meek Mill's 2015 single 'Check' which reached over a million plays. [5]
Early Career
Originally from Oakdale, New York, John started his music career at local bars and small clubs playing for free while still in high school. John's first break was playing a weekly dubstep show, Bassment Saturdays at legendary venue Webster Hall. Through this he went on to play regularly and eventually played the main ballroom before the venue closed down in 2017.[6]
Current Career
Who's John played alongside Grammy nominated artist, Deadmau5 on July 10, 2021, at The Brooklyn Mirage.[7] John also recently did a guest mix for Diplo's Revolution on SiriusXM. [8]
Liga Ritmo
In 2016 John founded Global Bass record label 'Liga Ritmo' with Mr. Vega & MaxX & EJ. The label had a few releases before going dormant in 2018. In 2021 the group re launched the label with a new logo and a two-day virtual festival on Twitch in partnership with Space Yacht & Audius. The festival happened March 5th and 6th, 2021, and peaked at 14.7k viewers. The festival also garnered attention from Twitch itself, landing itself on the front page of the website for a majority of day 2.
On July 17th Liga Ritmo threw its first in person event with Uniiqu3, Bianca Oblivion, ErickaVee and VenessaMichaels.
