Witchcraft XVI: Hollywood Coven in a 2016 horror film and the sixteenth film in the WitchCraft Horror Series series. It was produced by Vista Street Entertainment, It is occasionally called Witchcraft 16.

Plot[edit]

As the cast and crew prepare for a table read to the sequel to Crystal Force 14 and 15, (Thinly disguised versions Witchcraft XIV: Angel of Death and Witchcraft XV: Blood Rose), they discover their director is an actual warlock. He is planning and real human sacrifice, not only as it will look better than special effects, and therefore produce a more realistic movie, but it will also complete his pact with Satan.

Unbeknownst to the cast during the table read, one of the actors is killed after leaving for a higher budgeted production. The cast had been discussing the rumored curse on actors who left the series after their roles have been recast. When leaving the table read, actors are given DVDs of the previous movies to study.

While watching the DVDs, actors are controlled into re-enacting previous death scenes from the earlier movies they were watching. The director reveals he put a curse on the DVDs, and that the production of the movie series is secret method to find real witches to make the director's coven more powerful, as well as sacrifice those who do not have witch potential.

The actor playing Detective Garner, discovers the menace to be real, but he is killed by Det Lutz, who is revealed to be the Master behind the plot. As the Lt. Lutz and another coven master battle, Rose and Sharon, now real witches, assist the new coven master. After their deaths, Lutz and the new coven master reach a truce, and agree to finish the 16th movie as a way to attract witches who were killed during their battle.

Continuity[edit]

The actors playing themselves comment on the low budget issues of the series as well as the damage appearing in movies of this type can do to a career. The almost constant recasting of the leads in the series is satirized. The director passes out DVDs of the previous movies in the series as he tells the actors this movie will next movie is a reboot of the franchise. The actors also complain about the cliches found in the series.

Scenes from 14 and 15 appear in the movie. One actor refers to the next movie as number 315,000,000 of the film series. The recasting of the leads occurring often in the film series is explained by the coven taking the souls of the actors being replaced, although the actors in the film initially see the recasting as a normal part of low budget film making.

A list of all movies actors who have been recasts in the series is provided to the actor portraying Det. Lutz. as evidence of the curse. later a book containing the same information is discovered. The need for movie in[joke props to give the actors something to talk about during the DVD commentary is referenced.
