Women2WinWales

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Women2WinWales is the Welsh arm of the Women2Win organisation, chaired by Cheryl Gillan, Former Secretary of State for Wales and MP for Chesham and Amersham.

The organisation aims to increase the number of Conservative women Councillors, AMs and MPs by providing support, advice and training to women who would like to enter the National Assembly for Wales, enter Parliament or just wish to get more involved in politics.

"In Wales as in the rest of the country, we want to increase the number of women candidates at all levels. Women make a real contribution in shaping the society we all want to see and this is as true at the political level as in the home and the workplace. They also bring a different approach to politics which can often be less confrontational and can prove a powerful tool in the political mix."
Cheryl Gillan
