Early life and youth career
Wong began playing football at the age of 11 for Escola de Futbol Juvenil de Macau[3]. She quickly progressed and joined the U14 academy.
Career
In 2021, Wong moved to England, joining AFC Bournemouth U21, and studied at Brockenhurst College. She became the first Macanese female international to play overseas. During her time at Bournemouth from 2021 to 2023, she made 26 appearances in the FA National Youth League and earned 4 Player of the Match awards for her standout performances in goal.[4][5]
In the 2022–2023 season, Wong dual signed with London Seaward in the FA Women's Division One South East. She made 13 appearances for the club, including 2 FA Cup appearances, in which she helped secure victories, progressing to the next two rounds. One of these matches was against Royston Town.[6][7] She also earned 1 Player of the Match award during her time at London Seaward.[8][9]
After her time at London Seaward, Wong decided to pursue her studies at Loughborough University. She currently plays for both the university's team in BUCS Premier North[10] and Loughborough Lightning FC[11], competing in the FA Women's National League Division One Midlands.
International career
Wong was first called up to the Macau Women’s National Team in 2019 at the age of 15. She made her international debut against the Philippines.[12] She has earned 5 caps for the national team as of to date. Wong was part of the travelling squad for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship in 2019, held in Mongolia.[13] In 2023, Wong was again called up for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship in Zhuhai, China,[14] where she played against Chinese Taipei[15], Guam[16], and Northern Mariana Islands[17]. In 2024, she played in an international friendly match against Singapore.[18]
