Wood Road
Wood Road (Chinese: 活道) is a street in the Wan Chai area of Hong Kong island, Hong Kong. It intersects with Queen's Road East, Burrows Street, Cross Lane, Wing Cheung Street, Heard Street and Wan Chai Road.
Wood Road was named after John Roskruge Wood, a government official and later, Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong.
The Wan Chai Animal Clinic is located on Wood Road. The Salvation Army have offices nearby in Salvation Army Street.
From 1937 to 1950s the Government Trade School was located here. In 1957 it was renamed Hong Kong Technical College and relocated to Hung Hom, where it later became Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
