Wookey Films Inc. is an independent Canadian film and television production company based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Wookey Films is a multi-lingual production company, producing works in English, French and several Indigenous languages.
Wookey Films was founded in 2013 by siblings Janelle & Jérémie Wookey[1]. Wookey Films has produced more than 80 hours of broadcasted content. Past productions include the news piece A Nation and Her Mother,[2][3] docu-reality series Comment Devenir Adulte,[4] mini-series Banni (cancelled)[5] and the documentary Treading Water: Plight Of The 2011 Manitoba First Nations Flood Evacuees.[6][7]

Style and Themes
Wookey Films primary area of expertise is unscripted documentary films and series. Being a Métis and 2SLGBTQIA+ owned enterprise, Wookey Films strives to give underrepresented voices opportunities to tell their stories through their work, often engaging with Indigenous and Queer perspectives across their body of work. According to a 2023 quote, the Wookey duo "decided a long time ago that with every project, we wanted to create empathy between communities".[14]
