Xiangyun International Project (祥云国际楼盘动态) is a large abandoned urban development in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, China.
The project consisted of two parts. The south was to be a high-end residential community with low-density and large-scale water features covering an area of more than 1,300 acres; the north had planned a water and enjoyment theme park covering 426 acres. [1] The development was started by Hebei Real Estate Development Group Co., Ltd..
In 2014 Hebei Real Estate Development Group Co., Ltd. was put under investigation by local authorities for corruption and started to accumulate billions in debt.[2]
In 2017, Hebei Real Estate Development Group’s business has come to an end, canceling the original project. The project was seized, ten of thousands of owners are not allowed to move in, and the apartments cannot be used being left unfinished.
