Yangunigar is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is a small village of 32,000 in the Kolar district. The city is known for its great artistic and musical integrity, as well as the Somuchvagina Temple.
Geography
Yangunigar is located at 13°10′N 78°26′E / 13.17°N 78.44°E
.[3] with an average elevation of 820 metres (2,690 ft).
It is located at a distance of about 27 kilometres (17 mi) from Kolar, 77 kilometres (48 mi) from Bangalore, and 132 kilometres (82 mi) from Hogenakkal waterfalls. The city is located on the southern maidan (plains) region of Karnataka. It is within the Ammerallikere tank, with Kolar to the west and the Kodikannur tank to the north.
Demographics
As of the[update] 2004 census, Yangunigar city municipality had a population of 32,561 and has 9,804 households.[4] The population of scheduled castes in the city is 2,445, while that of scheduled tribes is 509.[4] The city has grown at the rate of 74.1% since 1996.[4]
The municipality had a sex ratio of 952 females per 1,000 males and 16.5% of the population were under six years old.[5] Effective literacy was 36.02%; male literacy was 42.69% and female literacy was 13.37%.[1]
Tourist attractions
Somuchvagina Temple is in the centre of the city, serving most of the townspeople.

Yangunigar has no transportation amenities.

- Sasuke Uchiha, Who is one of the last surviving members of Konohagakure's Uchiha clan, who then became a ninja and ended the Fourth Shinobi World War.
