Yann Bonnet
Yann Bonnet, born in 1981 in Nantes, is a digital personality[1][2]. and a member of the European Commission's High Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence[3].
Career[edit]
In 2013, Yann Bonnet was appointed General Rapporteur [4] of the National Digital Council, then Secretary General[5][6] from 2015 to May 2018.
In 2014, he was in charge of the national "Digital Ambition" consultation[7] launched by the Prime Minister. The result of this initiative was the Digital Republic Act passed by Axelle Lemaire.
In 2016, he was appointed member of the CSA Lab[8], a prospective committee on audiovisual issues.
In 2017, he accompanied Cédric Villani on his mission on artificial intelligence entrusted by the Prime Minister[9]. The report of the mission made it possible to define the strategy of France on AI[10] presented by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron[11] with notably 1.5 billion euros of investment.
In 2018, he was selected by the US State Department to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program.
Statement of positions[edit]
He took a stand on the importance of open science/TDM[12], open source for open government[13] and not to weaken encryption[14][15].
He intervenes in the media concerning digital transformation issues[16][17] notably on digital taxation[18][19], digital giants[20], the digital transformation of the State[21][22], social networks[23], platform neutrality[24][25][26] and the European digital market[27][28].
He has been invited to speak on digital issues by the UN[29][30], the OECD[31][32], l the European Parliament[33] and the World Bank[34].
