Yann Novak (born 1979) is an artist, composer, and curator living in Los Angeles, CA. His work is broadly concerned with the felt presence of direct experience; specifically, he is interested in how intangible materials – sound and light – can heighten the audience's awareness of the present moment.[1] He is the director of the imprint Dragon's Eye Recordings, started by his father Paul Novak in 1989, and relaunched by Novak in 2005.[2] In 2015 Novak exhibited his work Stillness at the preview of The Broad museum's Diller Scofidio + Renfro designed building.[3][4] In 2019 Novak received a California Community Foundation Fellowship for Visual Artists.[5]
