Yarn is an open-source package manager for the JavaScript programming language. An alternative to npm, Yarn re-prioritizes the existing workflow for the npm client (with scalable performance in mind) but remains compatible with the npm package registry. Yarn was initially developed by Facebook and open-sourced in 2016.[1]
