Mohammad Younus Dagha (Urdu: محمد یونس ڈاگا) is a senior Pakistani civil servant who serves in BPS-22 grade (highest attainable rank for a serving officer) as Federal Secretary.[1][2] Dagha belongs to the Memon community in Karachi and is among the most popular bureaucrats of the country, having made headlines for his brilliant performance as Federal Secretary for Water and Power.

Dagha presently serves as Secretary Commerce, the highest administrative seat in the country's trade sector.[3]

Dagha served as Secretary for Water and Power from October 2014 to April 2017. He was appointed to this key post, replacing Nargis Sethi.[4] Dagha performed exceptionally well, taking major steps to curb the country's load shedding. Dagha earlier served as the Secretary for Housing.

Dagha served as Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan in 2013-14, the top bureaucrat of the country's northernmost administrative territory. [5] Before that he served in federal capital as Additional Secretary for Finance where he dealth with the External Wing. This included dealing with international financial institutions such as the IMF and ADB.

In Government of Sindh, Dagha served as the secretary of the Sindh Board of Investment; the department responsible to promote investment opportunities in the province, and facilitate existing businesses and investments in different sectors of the economy. Dagha also served as the provincial Secretary for Mines and Mineral Development, and as the project director of the National Programme for Improvement of Watercourses.
