Yovi

Agu Uchenna, popularly known as Yovi, is a Nigerian singer, producer and songwriter born in Ilorin, Kwara state in Nigeria but originally from Enugu state in Nigeria.

Music career

Yovi started his career in Ilorin as a music producer under the stage name lussy beats. After several months of production, he started reaching out to several people in the music industry in Nigeria. He contacted Terry G who later introduced him to his first manager Ayodeji Alawemo.

Alawemo and his business partner Ronkay signed Yovi to their management company Regnum Dynasty.

Regnum Dynasty signed a deal with Les Roses Rouges records of the artiste Reminisce to have Yovi on their roster. The contract was terminated after a year, after which Yovi continued with Regnum Dynasty as a label and management company.[1]

  • Yovi released the cover of Ycee's popular song "Omo Alhaji" and called his own Shepesi which became an underground success[citation needed]
