Yunus Sajwal is an Indian screenwriter who is famous for the cop universe. He is famous for his collaborations with Rohit Shetty and David Dhawan. He started his career with Shatranj in 1993. After 2008, he wrote the screenplay for all Rohit Shetty films till now. In 2011, Cop universe started with Singham which increased his fame. His upcoming movies are Hungama 2 and Sooryavanshi.

Career
Yunus Sajwal is noted for his work in Hindi movies. Having started his career with Shatranj in 1993, over the years, he wrote for more than 30 films. He started his work with David Dhawan with Yeh hai Jalwa. Followed by Judwaa 2, Partner and so on. In 2010, he directed a movie called Benny and Babloo. It got positive reception from the critics.

Collaborations with Rohit Shetty
His first collaboration with Rohit Shetty was Golmaal returns which was a success and earned worldwide revenues of 824 million. It was a remake of the Hindi movie Aaj ki taaza khabar. Their next, All the best, was also a comedy movie. The sequel to Golmaal returns and the third installment of the Golmaal film series, Golmaal 3 released next year. In 2011, they started the Cop universe with Singham which was continued by Singham returns, Simmba and Sooryavanshi. In between, Chennai express, a biggest blockbuster in Indian cinema of the duo, was released. The fourth of the Golmaal series, Golmaal again, was released in 2017. The duo's other works together include the comedy Bol bachchan, the box office success Dilwale and the upcoming Cirkus.
