Yusr International School is a chain of schools that was established in 2007. The school is owned by Mrs. Aisha Al-Otaibi. Yusr International School got the full accreditation of the AdvancED[1] organization which serves more than 30,000 schools around the world. Yusr International School (YIS) is situated in northern Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It follows an American-based curriculum.
Yusr is a private, independent, international, non-discriminating, English-medium school licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Education. It runs from Pre-K -grade 12, and prepares its graduate students for the SAT and AP exams.
Y.I.S is co-educational from Nursery till Grade 3 and gender-segregated from Grade 4 to Grade 12. The girls' section is located in Al Nahda District on a 18677 sqm plot (roughly 4.6 acres) and the boys' section is located in Al Shate'a District on a 5000 sqm plot (roughly 1.2 acres).
YIS is divided into four distinct parts:
- PRE-SCHOOL: Nursery, KG1, KG2
- LOWER SCHOOL: Grades 1-2-3 & Grades 4-5-6
- MIDDLE SCHOOL: Grades 7-8-9
- UPPER SCHOOL: Grades 10-11-12
The School celebrated its first graduating class in 2012 and continues to celebrate its graduating classes year after year.
