Zed Tarar is a career [1] U.S. diplomat, since 2010, currently serving as the spokesperson for the U.S. State Department in Hindi and Urdu language[2]. Based in London, he frequently appears in South Asian press presenting the United States Government[2][3][4][5]. He also hosts press briefings for senior U.S. officials[6]. Prior to serving in London as the spokesperson, he worked at the Department of State's Bureau of International Organization Affairs in Washington.[2] He has also worked as a U.S. diplomat in Rome, Italy; Karachi, Pakistan; and Abu Dhabi, UAE. He has also appeared in panel discussions as a foreign policy expert[7]

Zed Tarar attended Boston University where he graduated with a bachelors degree in international relations with distinction, summa cum laude[8]
