Zelong (Materials Engineer)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Zelong (Chinese: 泽龙; ᠽᠧ ᠯᠦᠩ; born March 1978) is a Chinese materials engineer affiliated with Zhejiang University. His research focuses on materials science and marine engineering materials, particularly in the development of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) techniques.

Early life and education

Zelong was born in China. In 2010, he completed studies at the Graduate School of Education, Fuyang Normal University, earning a Bachelor of Education degree. In March 2013, he completed doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, and was awarded a Doctor of Engineering degree. His doctoral thesis focused on SEM-EDX analysis of non-conductive materials.

Career

In April 2013, he joined Zhejiang University, where he continued his research at the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering Materials and the Zhejiang China International Science and Technology Research Institute (ZCNI).

Research

  • Development of non-conductive SEM-EDX measurement techniques using ionic liquids
  • Analysis of metal corrosion elements in marine environments
  • Development of environmental simulation test systems for marine wave zones

Selected achievements

  • Developed SEM-EDX measurement techniques for non-conductive liquid samples, obtaining multiple Chinese patents related to the method.
  • Applied the developed techniques to marine wave zone environmental simulation systems, publishing findings on the performance evaluation of marine engineering materials.
  • Received the 2019 Annual Marine Engineering Materials Gold Award from Zhejiang University ZCNI.
