Zia Ashraf is a Bangladeshi entrepreneur. He is the founder and COO of online-based e-commerce site Chaldal.com and founder and CEO of online-based courier company "Gogobangla". He is currently the chairman of the e-commerce association of Bangladesh.
Early life[edit]
He was born in Dhaka in 1984. His father is Bangladeshi leading film actor Ashraf Uddin Ahmed. Who is mostly known as Uzzal. Zia Ashraf graduated from North South University.[1]
Career and activities[edit]
Although he started his career as a banker at the beginning of his career, later he joined as a officer-in-charge in a garments factory. In early 2013, his friend Wasim Alim and Tejas Vishwanath established online e-commerce site Chaldal.com. After the success continuation he founded online based courier service "Gogobangla". [2][3] He had played a number of roles to take forward e-commerce in Bangladesh. He is the standing committee member of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). He worked in various committees from BASIS for entrepreneurs in many ways.[4]
