Ziv Biron is a businessman and the president and CEO of IDB Bank, a New York-based private and commercial bank with locations in the United States, Latin America and Israel.[2]
Early life[edit]
Biron excelled in higher education and obtained three academic degrees with honors.[3] He received a BA and LLB from Tel Aviv University, as well as an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.[4]
Career[edit]
Before promoted to President and CEO of IDB Bank in October 2019, Biron had served as chief financial officer and head of planning strategy at Discount Bank, IDB's Tel Aviv-based parent company. At Discount Bank, Biron received media attention for his work in digital transformation and digital banking.[5] Of note, Biron oversaw the creation of an artificial intelligence-driven digital assistant through a partnership with fintech Personetics Technologies.[6] The AI, called Didi, was the first of its kind for Israel's banking industry.[7]
Earlier in his career, Biron held executive roles at Bank Hapoalim Israel, HSBC Bank USA and HSBC Global.[8]
