Álvaro Contreras y Carvajal (1480–15?) was a Spanish nobleman, Alcalde de la fortaleza de Mérida.[1]
Born in Extremadura, was the son of Fernán Núñez de Contreras and Sarra de Carvajal, daughter of Alvar García Bejarano.[2] His wife was Juana, daughter of Francisco de Aponte and Juana Carrillo de Mendoza.[3]
