1979 Belgian Super Cup

The 1979 Belgian Super Cup was a football match played on 22, between the winner of the 1978–79 Belgian First Division, KSK Beveren, and the winner of the 1978–79 Belgian Cup, Beerschot.[1]
KSK Beveren won the match on penalties, and became the first team to win the trophy. Notably, the match was played at the ground of Beerschot, the Cup winners, rather than Beveren, the title winners.
