On the evening of 11 August 2019 to the early hours of 12 August 2019, Ratby, a small rural village in Leicestershire, England witnessed a blackout.
Investigation and witnesses[edit]
At around the evening 23:30 pm on 11 August 2019 and the early morning of 12 August 2019, the entire small village of Ratby in Leicestershire, England witnessed a blackout which lasted for 46 minutes from 23:30 pm to 00:16 am. All of the homes, shops, and pubs were all in blackout from an electric fault. Whilst the issue was being resolved, the electricity flickered on and off three times before finally coming back on at around 00:16 am during the early hours of the morning of 12 August 2019.

It has also been reported that Desford, Kirby Muxloe and Groby was all in the same power cut situation in which Ratby was in. During this time, there hasn't been any signs of an electrical fault or another blackout since. [1]
