The 2020 Stockton earthquake occurred at approximately 06.00 Greenwich Mean Time on 23 January 2020. According to the British Geological Survey the earthquake registered a reading of 3.0 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre 6 miles (10 km) beneath Stockton-on-Tees.[1]
