2022 Balochistan bus incident
On 3 July 2022, a bus travelling from Rawalpindi to Quetta carrying 33 people fell into a ravine killed at least 20 people and 11 others injured near Sherani District of Balochistan, Pakistan.[1][2] This is the second major accident in a month. Earlier on 8 June a minivan van crashed in the Qila Saifullah area near Zhob district adjacent to Sherani, killing 22 people.
Rescue sources said that the bodies and injured have been shifted to Zhob and MughalKot.
Reactions[edit]
- Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed regret over the bus accident and expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives. He directed to provide immediate and best medical aid to the injured.[3]
