On March 17, 2026, a fire broke out at 6 East 43rd Street in New York City, New York.[1] The building was near the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade’s route. The fire was supposedly started in an HVAC unit.[2]

A 911 call was placed for a fire that started at around 9:46 a.m. EDT at 6 East 43rd Street. The building was less than a block away from the city’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade route.[1] No tenants lived in the building at the time of the fire.[3]
