"5 More Days 'Til Summer" is a song by American singer Lenny Kravitz from his 11th studio album Raise Vibration. It was released as the album's third single on July 24, 2018.[1][2][3][4]
Background[edit]
The song is much more upbeat than "Low" and "It's Enough!" and is based on a heavy bass guitar line. The song is probably the closest to his classic sound in a while as he has been experimenting with different sounds and styles over the past years. Kravitz also explained that he struggled with serious writer’s block while trying to focus on his eleventh album.[5][6]
Reception[edit]
Madison Desler of Paste wrote, "Then there's "5 More Days Til Summer," a boring-to-borderline-bad little number complete with cringe-inducing countdown. It's confusing."[7]
