Adam Buckley, known monomonously as A Dose of Buckley, or Buckley, is an award-winning Canadian comedian who shares his content primarily through YouTube, which includes rants about songs or musical artists, his stances on trending stories in media, or exposing of poor decisions made by celebrities or others in society, among other sorts of comedy.[1] He is most known for his diverse sense of humor, creating comedic videos in an almost completely distinct genre.

Personal life and career[edit]

Buckley was born on September 4, 1981 in London, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from college in 2001 with a computer programming degree.[2] Sometime in the mid-to-late 2000s, he got a job as a radio host. In 2009, he kickstarted his website, adam-buckley.com.[3] His primary platform of entertainment shifted to YouTube in 2011.[4] His most popular videos are his annual "Top 10 Worst Songs" videos, and his novel song-reviewing series "Musical Autopsy."

In general, Buckley remains one of the most influential music critics in all of YouTube.[5]

YouTube[edit]

Buckley has created over 325-and-counting "doses," on his channel. A "dose" being a 5-to-10, sometimes 15-minute video that is usually a rant about a celebrity, or trending online story.[1] He has also made nine fully-fledged "Top 10 Worst Songs" videos from 2010 to 2018, ranging from 15-to-20 minutes long on average,[6] immensely criticizing artists such as Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber and Iggy Azalea.

Awards[edit]

Buckley won a London award for Media Person of the Year & Artist of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2015. His 2020 Bandcamp album, "Tales from the Carnival," went #1 in the Bandcamp comedy albums section.[7][8]
