Abadeen is an Australian property development company based in Sydney, New South Wales.[1][2] It specialises in residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, with projects located across Sydney's Lower North Shore, Inner City, Eastern Suburbs, and the Gold Coast.[3][4][5]
History
Abadeen was founded in 2001 by property developer Justin Brown.[6] The company’s early work focused on boutique residential projects in Sydney’s lower north shore, later expanding into larger mixed-use and commercial precincts.[7][8][9]
In the early 2000s, Abadeen had established a pipeline of residential projects catering to owner-occupiers.[10]
In 2021, Abadeen entered into a joint venture with Phoenix Property Investors to develop a pipeline of luxury apartment projects across Sydney with an expected end value exceeding $1 billion.[11][8] The same year, the company launched Villea, its first project on the Gold Coast, comprising 69 apartments in Palm Beach.[12][13]
In 2025, Abadeen completed two major projects: KOYO, a boutique residential development in Crows Nest designed by Koichi Takada Architects, and HQ78, a creative commercial and warehouse precinct in Alexandria.[14][15]
Operations
Abadeen’s projects range from boutique apartment blocks to large-scale commercial and mixed-use sites.[4] The company acquires sites selectively, often off-market, and manages planning, design, and delivery through an integrated in-house team.[16]
Abadeen frequently collaborates with leading Australian architects and designers and incorporates sustainability features such as natural light optimisation, energy efficiency, and landscaped communal spaces.[17][18]
