Abbhi or Abbi is a Punjabi Khatri clan.
Place of origin[edit]
Abbis have been associated with Hoshiarpur in Eastern Punjab (today in the Indian state of Punjab, India). The exact village where the family tree has its origin is Tanda.
The Abbis are also settled in the cities of Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and nawanshahr for the last three centuries. The Abbis of Tanda in Hoshiarpur have gone to other places like Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi due to their government service postings and have settled there. In Himachal Pradesh, Abbis are mainly residing in Nahan and Paonta Sahib in district Sirmour. Some have immigrated abroad to Canada, United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand and various parts of Africa for occupational reasons and have settled there.
