Abdelwahab Aloub (Arabic: عبد الوهاب علوب), born is 1958, is a translator and he earned his PhD in Iranian Arts Studies from the University of Michigan. He currently works as an Assistant professor of Iranian Studies at Cairo University in the faculty of arts at the Department of Oriental languages. He is a fluent speaker of Arabic, English, Persian, and he knows the basics of the Turkish language.[1]
Personal life[edit]
Abdelwahab Aloub was born on the 14th of July in Cairo, Egypt, in al-Zaher neighborhood. In 1980 he completed his undergraduate studies at the department of Iranian Literature and studies in the University of Cairo. In June 1983 he completed his postgraduate education in Iranian studies. After that, he moved to the United States of America where he completed his PhD in Iranian Studies in 1988 at the University of Michigan.
Career[edit]
His career started at Cairo University where he was a teaching assistant from 1980 to 1983[1]. When he completed his graduate studies, he became an assistant teacher at both Vairo University and University of Michigan until 1989. From 1989 to 1999 he was a teacher of Iranian Studies at the faculty of arts in Cairo University. He currently works as an assistant professor of Iranian studies at the department of Oriental languages at the faculty of arts at Cairo University since 1999.

Aloub has translated and authored many books and dictionaries in Arabic and Persian. among his works are:
