Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Memon (Sindhi: ڊاڪٽر عبدالغفور ميمڻ) was born on 25 August 1962 at village Darro, Sujawal District, Sindh.[1] Currently, he is working as the Chairman of the Sindhi Language Authority.[2][3] Previously, he worked as Chairman of the Sindhi Department at the University of Karachi. He is a writer of short stories and literary criticism. He is also a researcher. He has written six books on the Sindhi language, Literature and criticism.
Education
Ghafoor Memon received primary and secondary education in his native town. He studied at the University of Sindh for a Bachelor's degree in political science and a Master's degree in Sindhi literature in 1992, and a Master's degree in philosophy from the University of Karachi in 2012. He was awarded a PhD in Sindhi literature from the University of Karachi in 2001.[4]
