Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh is the Chairman of the Election Commission of Malaysia who was appointed on 21 August 2020. Before that, he was the Secretary of the Election Commission of Malaysia before retiring.[1]

Abdul Ghani graduated with a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Management and Marketing from the National University of Malaysia.[2]
Career[edit]
Abdul Ghani once served as Chairman of the Kuala Langat District Council. In addition to that, he was once appointed as Director of the Corporate Planning and Community Development Department, Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) and Gombak District Officer, Selangor. He appointed as Chairman of the Election Commission of Malaysia and replaced Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun who was appointed as Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat on 13 July 2020.
