Abdul Karim Karimi (Urdu: عبدالکریم کریمی) is one of the famous writer and columnist all over Gilgit-Baltistan. He has written a lot of materials on every aspect of life including poetry, columns, articles,[1] and much more.
Synopsis[edit]
Abdul Karim Karimi born on (Date-Month-Year) in Barjangal, Ishkoman Valley of Ghizer District. He hails from an educated family. He is at a time a writer, columnist, author, poet and Editor in Chief of Quarterly "Fikr o Nazar".
Educational career[edit]
Karimi got his primary and middle level education from his home town Ghizer. He passed his matriculation from Gilgit. He holds Masters Degree in Political Science and his Masters in Urdu Literature Degree is near its completion.
A Literary Man[edit]
Thirty years old Karimi belongs to the clan of literature. He is ever busy in maintaining peace, brotherhood, interfaith harmony and especially in the promotion of literature and Urdu Language in the region for over half a decade. Karimi is founder and president of “Karwan-e-Fikro Adab” Ghizer, the literary circle of Ghizer District and under the platform of the above mentioned circle; Karimi is arranging and supervising educational and literary activities. Mr. Karimi has the credit to found and publish first ever purely literary and journalistic magazine in the history of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral titled “Fikro Nazar”. He is publishing the said magazine as a Chief Editor and Publisher for last five years without a break; in which famous and well reputed scholars from all sects and walks of life are keeping their research articles published and the magazine has proved a milestone in promotion of peace in a chaotic region like Gilgit-Baltistan. The magazine has been publishing since October 2010 and uptil now over a dozen volumes have appeared in the literary world. Apart from the experienced and learned professional writers, the magazine has spared pages for the naive writers and poets to encourage them towards literature; to enhance their writing skills and to strengthen their relationship with the book.

Shayad Phir Na milain Hum[edit]
The first book of Karimi appeared in 2008 when he was just 24 years old. It was an anthology of poetry titled “Shayad Phir Na milain Hum”. With the publication of that book, Mr. Karimi had got the credit of being the first ever poet to publish book from Ishkoman Valley. This book was warmly received and highly praised among the literary circles of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Fikr-o-Nazar[edit]
Karimi got his second book published in 2009 titled “Fikro Nazar.” It was the collection of his articles published in the local and national newspapers.[2]
Teri Yadain[edit]
His third book appeared on the literary horizons in 2011 titled “Teri Yadain”. This is again an anthology of his poetry. Many other books of Karimi are in the pipeline to be edited and published. Hence in a young age, Karimi has got the honor to be the writer of over a dozen books.

Karimi, a Columnist[edit]
Karimi is a well-know columnist. He has been writing his famous column “Fikro Nazar” for last ten years wherein the new generation is guided literally and educationally which in itself is an honor for a young columnist like him. Karimi participated in all Pakistan Columns Writing Contest in 2003 and pocketed first position on Gilgit-Baltistan level; while second position on Pakistan level.
Karimi is a role model for the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan. In a long journalistic and literally journey of truth and affections, the priority of Karimi has been to bring forth before the world, the literature of Gilgit-Baltistan and impress upon the world that despite of being away from civic life and civic facilities, literature can be serviced and Karimi is doing that the best.
Social Service[edit]
Karimi is working as President Ghizer Arts and Cultural Development (GACDO). He is Chief Patron of Karwaan-e-Fikro Adab Ghizer (KFA). On the other side, he has worked as board member Karakuram Educational Support Organization (KESO) Gilgit-Baltistan. He also works as a member of Halqa-e-Arbab-e-Zoq (HAZ) Gilgit.
Speeches and Lectures[edit]
For ten years affiliation with ITREB Pakistan, a branch of Aga Khan Development Network, Karimi delivered more than 1000 lectures for youth on different topics. Karimi has made more than 500 speeches on interfaith harmony, peace and the modern challenges delivered on Majalis, out-reach programs like Sirat-un-Nabi Conference, Hussain Sub Ka etc.
