Abdul Nassar is the second Keralite who climbed Mount Everest, a native of Peringodan House from Nedungottur, Thiruvegappura, near Pattambi in Palakkad district of Kerala State.[1][2][3]

Mount Everest Expedition[edit]

He climbed Mount Everest on 16 May 2019. He started the Mount Everest trek on 17 April 2019. Abdul Nassar and his team successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest in 30 days, climbing up to 29,029 feet.

Achievements[edit]

He completed Ironman triathlon in Malaysia in 2018. Nassar also participated in the Ironman 70.3 competition in Colombo, Sri Lanka.[4] Also he participated in many Marathon races around the world including Paris Marathon.[5] Abdul Nasser received the Qatar Indian Embassy Sports Excellence Award in 2018.[6] He has also published his story, the book named The Roadless Travelled[verification needed] .

Personal life[edit]

Abdul Nasser is the son of P Kunhahammed Musliyar and Nafisa, a scholar and Samastha Palakkad District Vice President and professor of Markaz Arabic College, Kartala, Valancheri. He graduated in commerce subject from Sree Neelakanta Government Sanskrit College Pattambi. He is currently working as a Chartered Accountant at Qatar Petroleum.
