Abishek Mahendhiran was born on 7 August 2001 in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his secondary schooling at Adhiyaman Matriculation Higher Secondary School before pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Information Technology at Sona College of Technology.
During his schooling and undergraduate studies, Abishek developed parallel interests in music and technology, writing and producing original music while also engaging with software development. These two interests later converged in his entrepreneurial work, most notably in the development of Lynkify.

Abishek Mahendhiran began his music career under the professional name Abishek Mahi. He released his debut single, "Dhooram Pogindrai," a Tamil-language song, on 7 August 2021, in collaboration with producer Sibi Chakravarthi. The track was written and performed as a Tamil love-failure ballad and marked his first original release as a singer, songwriter, and composer.
Following his debut, Abishek continued to release original music as an independent artist, working across Tamil-language songwriting and composition. Design and technology
