Abu shalakh Al-amphibi is a novel by Ghazi Al-Gosaibi, published by the Arab Foundation for studies and publishing in 2002. The novel mixes between fantasy and reality with an admixture of black irony. It revolves around a sincere of an Arab person who tells lies, in which there are projections on the Arab reality. The novel is similar to Al-Esforiah in terms of the dialogical style and penetration of times and places that appears in both novels.

Content[edit]

The novel is a long dialogue between Abu shalakh character and the journalist Tawfiq, who interviews Abu shalakh throughout the novel and asks him about all aspects of his life. Perhaps the name shows us that "Abu shalakh "is a person who tells lies and "shalakh". The main character of the noel says:

Abu shalakh says: "Al-shalakhah means great exaggeration, and Abu shalakh is the one of repeated permanent shalakhat."[1]

TV work[edit]

The novel was transferred into a TV series and it was exposed on the Saudi television, starring the Saudi artist Fayez al-Maliki. The Professional Performing Arts program and selected Ghazi Al-kasaibi's to be the first plays of "Al-muhtarif" in 2011.[2]
