Acellere was founded in October 2009 by Vishal Rai and Sudarshan Bhide. In the earlier years, the company mainly provided IT services, such as support in creation of a P2P-lending platform for Commerzbank.[1]
As of 2017, Acellere was chosen to be a part of German Accelerator Tech, an accelerator aiming to help German companies to enter the US market.[2] The program is part of the German Ministry for Economic Affairs.[3]
Acellere was among the first companies that received funding through the European Investment Project Portal in 2018. The Portal is a section of the Investment Plan for Europe, the so called Junker Plan.[4]
Around this same time, Acellere launched its static code analysis tool Gamma.[5]
