Adinda Andarina Bakrie is an Indonesian socialite and businesswoman. She is known for being the director of EMP Mining Overseas Pte Ltd. a subsidiary company of Bakrie Group’s PT. Energi Mega Persada.[1]
Early life[edit]
Adinda is the daughter of Indra Usmansyah Bakrie and Dotty Suraida. She is the third generation of Indonesian conglomerate Bakrie family. Bakrie lives in the United States since she was 14,[2] where she attended Phillips Academy in Andover. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts, in 2004. In 2019, she obtained her Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University, California.[3][4] In 2019, Adinda returned to Indonesia after spending 4 years in Los Angeles.[5]
Career[edit]
Bakrie currently sits as the director of EMP Mining Overseas Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Energi Mega Persada (EMP) of Bakrie Group. She led the company expansion in Mozambique for graphite and rare earth mineral exploration.[1]
Apart from business, Bakrie appeared in numerous lifestyle magazine cover stories. She was also featured in women's lifestyle publications and was featured on the cover of some issues of Harper's Bazaar, Tatler and Prestige Indonesia.
In 2017, was featured on the cover of Prestige Indonesia which ran a story on “40 under 40 nation’s most inspiring personalities”.[6] In 2019, she featured in Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan’s piece on Harper’s Bazaar titled “Crazy Rich Angelenos”.[7]
Moreover, Bakrie is actively involved in Bakrie Group philanthropic foundations where she sits as executive director to Bakrie Untuk Negeri and board member to scholarship focused organization Bakrie Center Foundation.[4]
Personal Life[edit]
She married Singaporean businessman Seng Hoo Ong in 2008. They have two children together. After several years together, Bakrie and Ong were separated. In 2020 Bakrie married Vinny Di Lucia in Jakarta.[8]
