Adobe Lightroom CC is an image organizing service with basic photo processing features for cross-platform and cloud-based management, editing and sharing of image media. Developer Adobe Systems released the rebuilt cloud-based service in 2017 with applications for desktop and mobile platforms and includes cloud storage plans. It is not compatible[1] and not to be confused with the desktop-focused Adobe Lightroom CC, which is now renamed as Adobe Lightroom Classic CC.
Features
Photos are uploaded in original size and format to the cloud-based photo library which manages the synchronization of photos and applied edits between the different platforms, somewhat comparable with the IMAP-protocol of e-mail providers.
The apps of the Lightroom service feature basic photo editing tools, geolocation and automated indexing based on AI object recognition, while face recognition and geotagging are not implemented.
