Wars of Liberty, more known as WoL, is a fan modification for Age of Empires III, which requires both expansions. It is the biggest mod created for Age of Empires III, adding and modifying almost 40 nations, new maps, and having innovative gameplay features as religions, immigrants, and cultures. It can be played on single-player against the AI, and multiplayer via ESO servers or GameRanger.
In 2018 the mod was featured by the German portal GameStar as an example of innovation.[1]
