Agrible is an agricultural technology company headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, that builds an online platform for growers to see weather, yield, chemical, and logistics forecasts on a field-by-field basis. The company also creates sustainability and stewardship reports for major consumer package goods companies through the analysis of soil, agronomic practices, and meteorological data. The company and its 55 employees are based in the Research Park at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
On July 16, 2018, it was announced that Nutrien plans to acquire Agrible for $63 million.[1]
Mobile Apps[edit]
Agrible has several companion mobile apps to augment their website. Pocket Rain Gauge™ provides location-specific rainfall measurements.[2][3] Pocket Spray Smart™ provides projected spraying conditions using the user's field locations.[4][5] Pocket Drone Control™ creates automated flight paths for drones to perform crop damage inspections and assessments.[6]
