From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Aihole fort is a ruined fortress located in the ancient temple town of Aihole, Karnataka, India, built by the late Badami Chalukyan Kings. It is located on Meguti hill, enclosing a Jain temple,[1] which is dated to 634. This indicates the strategic and cultural importance of Aihole to the Chalukya kings whose capital was far away.[2]
