Air France Flight 689 (AF689) was a scheduled passenger flight from Atlanta, Georgia, USA, to Paris, France, taking place on 22-23 May 2015. Delayed by two hours on the tarmac in Atlanta, the flight was turned around over Nova Scotia, Canada, due to unspecified technical problems, landing back in Atlanta at 3:45 a.m. (EDT) on 23 May. No passengers were killed or injured (the turn-around possibly averting the same fate as Flight 447 six years ago), but many travelers were greatly inconvenienced.[1][2]
