Ajay Kannoujiya (Hindi: अजय कन्नौजिया born 10 October 1982), also known as AK, is an Indian politician currently serving as social leader in the Indian National Congress.[1] Recently, he joined congress campaign at Gorakhpur.[2][3]
Early life[edit]
Ajay Kannoujiya was born on in Gorakhpur into a Hindu middle-class family. His father, Late Shri Phool Chand Kannoujiya, worked as a senior section engineer in Indian Railways and his mother, Smt. Madhuri Devi, is a housewife. He has three elder brother Dinesh, Mahesh, Vijay and an elder sister, Nirmala. Also one younger brother Anil. Kannoujiya's family belonged to the Dhobi community, which is categorised as an Scheduled Castes by the Government of India.
Education[edit]
Kannoujiya was raised in Gorakhpur and started his schooling at Prathmik Vidyalaya and completed his higher secondary education in Gorakhpur in 2003, where a teacher described him as an average student. Later, he completed his graduation in Bachelor of Arts.
Political career[edit]
In June 1999, when he was 17 years old, joined Indian National Congress as a social leader. Since, he focusing to emphasis the awareness of the big issues which impact on daily life. As a Congress social leader[4] , his goal is "Awareness of Rights".
Marriage[edit]
Kannoujiya married Gyan Prabha Devi on 2009 and they have two daughters Akriti and Kavya. They currently lives in Gorakhpur.
