Al-jaleed (Arabic: [1]الجليد), is a novel by the writer Sona’Allah Ibrahim, publishes by dar Al-thaqafah in 2011.

Dr. Shoukry, the well-known hero of the two novels Americanly and French law, goes back for four decades to tell us about his experience in the Soviet Union, which he went to and still was a teacher back then, in the framework of academic exchange between the two countries. And there he continues his journey in search of finding himself and the woman. It reveals to us the subtleties of life in the former Soviet Union and the roots of its subsequent collapse.
This novel is a panorama of the social and political life in Soviet Russia during the Brezhnev time. It was unprecedented study of sexual behavior.
