The Seventh Day of Creation is a novel by Abdel Khaliq Al-Rikabi. He is a narrator, poet and teacher that was born in Wasit Governorate (Iraq)[1]. Moreover, his literary life was filled with various poetry collections, year 1976. Next, he moved on to novels, many of which were known for their prizes and translated editions.
About the Novel[edit]
This novel discusses the narrator’s vision of a reality that got preoccupied. It shows the problems in different aspects of life. Moreover, there is the political, historical, religious and social aspects.[2] However, it talks about (Raquq) which is the historical beginning of the city and how Mr. Noor preserved its original manuscript. As he highlighted the distortions that was witnessed in the manuscript that was not different from the distortion that occurs to the history itself. Abdel Khaliq Al-Rikabi also focused in presenting these aspects in a serious manner with a sense of humor to entertain the reader.[3]
