Alabama Spirit is an American soccer team founded in 2007. The team is a member of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), which is part of the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The club made its debut in the new Southeast Conference in 2008, playing a short season of exhibition games before full inclusion into the league.
The team plays its home games at Homewood Soccer Park in Birmingham, Alabama. After their inaugural match against reserves from CF Monterrey Rayados, the club owner expressed hopes to join the higher-caliber United Soccer Leagues, where he owns the Nashville Metros.
