Oil Money (21 May 1981 –) Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo is a British/Nigerian businessman known to be a successful investor in the real estate, oil and gas, entertainment and car dealership sectors. Kariboye-Igbo’s foray into entertainment has helped shape and change the face of the music industry in Nigeria, as his Oil Money Records has been able to discover upcoming artists and bring them from obscurity to limelight.[1]

Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo is one of Nigeria's most-successful entrepreneurs. Born in Buguma, Rivers State, south-south Nigeria on 21 May 1981, Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo always wanted to become a successful businessman in life. Kariboye-Igbo, popularly known as ‘Oil Money’, diversified his business interests to many fields, including real estate, oil and gas, auto dealership, entertainment and philanthropy.
The 40-year-old is one of the Nigerians in the diaspora who have come through thick and thin to become successful and accomplished through hard work and perseverance. From a very humble beginning, he has been able to develop himself into a result-oriented entrepreneur with a clear and defined mind-set to actualize his dreams. Oil Money has grown to be one of Africa’s most exquisite personalities and a young man with vast connection which cuts across status, religious and ethnic backgrounds. In addition, his philanthropic activities have redefined humanitarian works among Nigeria’s rich as he is known to be a man whose love for the underprivileged knows no bounds.
A passionate giver, he set up Oil Money Foundation in November 202o and, to date, the foundation has impacted positively on many poor Nigerians.

Born in Buguma, Rivers State, south-south Nigeria on 21 May 1981. Alafaa Kariboye-igbo studied and graduated from London University and is currently living in the United Kingdom with his family[2]

The UK-based business tycoon also an expert in the music industry with the aim to make Oil Money Records bigger and influential while producing stars in the industry in a bid to take over the global music industry. Oil Money has grown to be one of Africa’s most exquisite personalities and a young man with vast connection which cut across status, religious and ethnic backgrounds in Nigeria. A philanthropist in a class of his own, Oil Money is motivated by self-confidence and loyalty and finds joy in helping people realise their dreams.
Oilmoney, a real estate guru, auto sale investor, oil and gas entrepreneur, is multifaceted and is frequently mentioned in the media in connection with his record label, oil business or real estate, but reports of his philanthropy overshadow everything else about him in the past few months. His net worth currently stand at an estimated $6.1 Billion.
The music record label itself is incorporated in Britain and created to manage the development of songs, production of music, manufacturing of merchandise, creative marketing and distribution of intellectual properties.
