Aldo Baglio (it; born 28 September 1958) is an Italian comedian, actor, and director, known for being a member of Aldo, Giovanni & Giacomo.

Early life[edit]

Baglio was born in Palermo to a family of modest economic conditions. Cataldo is the name of the patron saint of their town of origin, San Cataldo.

In 1961, at age three, his parents immigrated to Milan.[1]

Career[edit]

Baglio began his career as a turner worker.[2] Then he was hired at SIP.[3] With his schoolmate Giovanni Storti formed for circa two years a duo of comedians until 1991. In the same period they play roles in television series, including Professione vacanze, where they know their future scenemate, Giacomo Poretti.

In 1985, and for a few more years, Aldo performed at the Palmasera Village Resort in Cala Gonone, together with Giovanni, Giacomo and his girlfriend, Marina Massironi. Aldo and Giovanni then form a new duo called "I suggestionabili". The group also include Stefano Belisari from Elio e le Storie Tese as DJ, Giorgio Porcaro, Mario Zucca, Marino Guidi, Eraldo Moretto and other future successful cabaret artists. In 1991 the partnership with Giacomo Poretti was born, together with which Storti and Baglio founded the trio "Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo" (formerly Galline Vecchie Fan Buon Brothers).

Parallel to his successes with the trio, Baglio also worked with Elio e le Storie Tese; his voice is in the song Mio cuggino, in which in the role of Rolando he narrates, reporting news heard from the hypothetical "cuggino", numerous urban legends. He also partecipated at the making of the musical video. In 2006, his first voice actor experience arrives: he voices the terrible boy of the film Mauvais esprit. Recruited by director Giuseppe Tornatore, he played a little role in the film Baarìa.

The actor, for the first time without Giovanni and Giacomo, in 2019 he took part as protagonist of the film Scappo a casa.[4]

Personal life[edit]

Having moved to Milan and residing in Monza, his natural cadence is Milanese, while the Sicilian accent, was a subsequent artistic invention, in which he had to prepare.[5]

Since 1996, he is married with the actress Silvana Fallisi,[6] in which he collaborated sometimes.[7] Baglio has also two children: Caterina and Gaetano.

He is an Inter fan[8] and a supporter of Monza.[9]
