Aleratec (former Alera Technologies) is an American multinational corporation that designs, develops and manufactures hard drive duplicators and sanitizers.
It was founded in 2000 in Chatsworth, California by Perry Solomon, an entrepreneur.[2]

Aleratec Inc. (formerly known as Alera Technologies, Inc.) was founded in 2000 and headquartered in Chatsworth, California.[3] Perry Solomon, its founder is also member of the industry advisory board of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at California State University, Northridge.[4] The following is a historical timeline of Aleratec technological evolution:
- June 2000 – Introduction of the CD duplicator
- June 2002 – Introduction of the DVD/CD shredder
- January 2004 – Introduction of the multimedia shredder
- January 2006 – Introduction of the CD/DVD/Blu-ray duplicator

Aleratec Inc. develops and manufactures solutions for duplicating and distributing hard disk drives, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and USB flash drives. It provides hard drive sanitizers, portable device management products, multimedia shredders, disc publishing systems,[5][6] optical data storage devices, and disc repair and clean up products.[7][8] The company also provides DVD or CD shredders[9] and accessories for mobile devices, smartphones, and tablets.[10] Its main clients include corporate, government and education in Canada, United States, The Caribbean, Mexico, Europe, Australia and Latin America.[11]
